So i have been claying, polishing and waxing the car but something has just hit me, i haven't touched the wheels. I know you clay them but do you use the same polishes and wax or do i need a whole new set ? Sorry if its a slightly tarded question but i can't seem to work it out.

Hi

I use normal car wax then seal them with "Poorboys" alloy wheel sealant.

It is well worth protecting your alloy wheels. The best product hands down is this: http://www.elitedetailer.com/advanced_search_result.php?keywords=alloy+premium&osCsid=b723028daa1159d2b57b33ef7007065f&x=0&y=0

i use fk1000p on my alloys - it's a hi temp paste sealant and boy does it last. Looks good and is about £17 a tin from serious performance...

Sorry for digging up such an old post but it saves me starting a whole new one for the same subject.
Which of these 3 is best ? The Elite one looks good & easy but I have heard lots of reviews for the poorboys stuff. I am going for polished lip so want to give them the best chance

tbh i use ag srp on wheels wheels every week when i wash the car, makes them easy to clean, beads up well and keeps them shiny. I would put poor boys wheels paste on top if you dont wash regulary like me.

Hi
I give the wheels a good clean and then detail them with poorboys quick detail + and then a coat of Valentines Road and Track wax.
Works for me !!!
