Hi,

Just had our 06 Passat Sport estate Mot'd, it has failed on front left suspension arm bush / pin has too much play in it? Anyone had any issues with this + any ideas of repair costs? He's doing it on friday and isn't sure on price until he has a proper look, he's a friend of a friend so don't think he'll be ripping us off:confused:.

Also we have a warranty with the car fingers crossed it covers it but i'm sure the slimmy buggers will find some escape clause!

Cheers

Suspension bush is usually classed as wear and tear on most 3rd party warranties.

Due to the state of our roads and our love of traffic calming road humps the susupension bush issues are common on many vehicles especially the Mondeo.
Not sure how common the problem on the Passat or how much it will cost though but Mondeo front wishbone bushes are around £150 to have done at an independant.

Cheers

There were issues with this (or very similar) on earlier B6 models. Follow link:

hi mate sounds like its just a bottom arm bush, does it say if its front bush or the rear front bush if that makes sense? as for your warrenty if i was you id phone them and tell them the car has failed the MOT and see what they say
