ideal mate :beerchug: i will have a look on the net for a decent pub with car park in abit so can go from there, im near plymouth so if we looked for somewhere in somerset so its roughly half way, i think bannedbiker maybe interested (please mate ;)) and afew others we could get a good meet going, tbh when i was into mk2/3 astras we started having meets with 4/5 and for a couple of months it was the same 4/5 but as it got talked about on the site more and more turned up to the point one month there was about 30 of us, if we use the same place each month then im sure we will get more turn up over time
v6 monk
11-10-2010, 12:54 PM
well thats 3 of us for starters and im sure if we chat about it more there will be more interested, when i used to have a ren 5turbo in suffolk we had about 30 of us hire a runway for an afternoon which was mental but such great fun, someone would bring a bbq and someone brought the meat, so it all evened out between us and im sure we could do something like that on here! what do you guys think?

I'm all ways up for a meet but it all depends on date and location.
If i can make it and its not hours away, i'll do my best and pop along.
BBQ sounds like a cool idea. just a shame the weather is getting colder at the moment.
well, apart from today. :)

i do some real crappy and awkward shifts so if you gave me a date id have to see if im not working, i get every other weekend off but love the sound of a convoy coming together.
we could arrange it with another region and all meet up to make it bigger(just an idea) bbq would of been awesome yesterday but certainly something to think about for next year!!

I'm Jacko from just outside of Plymouth.
I'm up for a meet, especially if there's fire and food involved! Not sure I'd be there every month, free time and fuel money are pretty scarce, but see how it goes!

A few years back when I was in the Celica-Club we used to have a pretty good turn out meeting up at Exeter Services then after kicking tyres head for a jaunt over dartmoor before having lunch. I used to come up from Cornwall with a few others and we used to get people coming from Bristol and even Gloucester in some cases

hi mate welcome along, im looking to get a meet/meets sorted for the new year, its a case of getting enough interested

Ok fair enough. I use to be with modified-bristol but they folded in the end and this time of year its hard as its not show season.
If you sort out a place where and when then im up for it. Before the bora i use to have a e46 beamer which was mostly old farts/boring and before that i owned a mk4 astra which was a really common car and we had meets every month. Hopefully we can sort out something for our region
I noticed this site doesnt seem to hold many bora's. Is there a site that does which isnt american?
Thanks Sam

Hi all fairly new on here, i like the idea of meets but with every forum they are far a few and mostly never happen or poor turn out,
Ive gone through this post and made a map with pins of where people live this gives a good picture of where a meet should be to make it fair on all of us traveling :)
Hope this helps in getting some meets going
Also if you are in the south west and havent posted your location please do and ill add you to the map :)

Wrangaton is just outside of Ivybridge, up the A38 from Plymouth.
Look for a big rain cloud, I reckon it used to be called "Rain Again"!
My Caravelle is mint green, tinted windows, and plastered with advertising.
It might be mint green in colour, but mint it isn't!!! It's a business and family work horse.:p

I am taking my a3 2 litre tdci sport in for a remap tomorrow. It's a 57 plate and it's now 140. The guy remapping doesn't have a rolling road I noticed. Is this necessary and can anyone give me any advice. Inhale recently had new turbo.ajd dual mass with clutch so not worries about those. Thanks giys
M1tchy
05-04-2017, 07:00 PM
Of course you need one or how will you know he has done anything? You could be fooled by the pseudo effect but he could easily do nothing and with no rolling road how will you know for sure?
If he doesn't have one are they that good at remapping? I wouldn't be dropping my car off there
