The rear wiper on my B6 estate is knacked, as per below photo. Works fine, but looks tatty.

I can't find the whole assembly for sale anywhere online, just blades. Anybody able to point me in the right direction?

Looks like you are going to need a new wiper arm and cap.

From a vw dealer

6Q6 955 707 C Aero Wiper Arm
6Q6 955 435 B Cap

Probably looking at about £20 or thereabouts

The cap is only a few quid but from your picture it looks like its damaged the arm as its come off.

Yep, believe it has.

Thanks for the details.

Is there anywhere online that'll send them, to save me popping into the dealer?

Edit: Actually, just found the arm on ebay, using those codes.

Right, finally got the arm and got round to trying to fit it. But I'm having difficulty getting the old one off...

The nut holding it on screwed off OK, but the actual arm remains firmly attached. However hard I pull it won't budge.

There's a bit of rusty, lime-scaley-stuff around it, and I'm pretty sure it's just bonded itself on, but I wanted to check if I should be doing something else, as the whole unit that it's attached to, by it's nature doesn't feel the most solid part of the car, and I don't want to pull too hard and damage the motor etc.

If it is just stuck, any advice on getting it off? I've tried scraping at the scaley stuff with a knife and getting some WD40 in there, but no luck. As I say, I'm nervous of just applying more and more brute force!

You can get them easy enough, I know Draper do one, maybe Halfords will stock them, think it's between £10-£20 to buy.
