Hey guys, just had a few bits n peices done to the car and had a few hours to kill today so thought I'd do a show n shine. Process took around 2 hours - could do it with my eyes shut now:D
She's coming up for 3 and a half years old with 73k miles but she's in pretty good nick. She's washed once, maybe twice a week and things like tailpipes, door shuts, engine bay, boot shuts wheels and tyres etc are always done, so its usually a fairly easy job to keep on top of her.

Anyway - products used
Wash mitt
wheel brush
Turtle wax shampoo
microfubre towels
Wet n black
shoe shine sponge
Autoglym vinyl and rubber

Lol..I know Kite, ( check out my profile )

I wanted the 3.0 but couldn't afford it at the time, had her remapped to 176bhp and thought what the hell? Took the 2 off and replaced it with a 3....stuck a Quattro there too:D
There's also an Sline badge on the grille but it is of course an SE...Also has the Quatto aluminium insert above the glovebox, but its really an SE.

A bit of kidology and some cheap ( upgrades )...lol

Nothing wrong in a bit of kidology
Bet it still shows a lot of cars a clean pair of heels.

Yeah when I'm in the mood it can shift some and does alright:approve:

I was looking to upgrade recently to the A8 4.2 Tdi Quattro....now thats a machine:approve:....Having said that, if I did, I wouldn't bet against me remapping that as well.
Oh well, one day soon:beerchug:

Thanks for the kind comments guys, much appreciated:beerchug: even though it was a little while ago now!
I did spend 2 hours on her today though and she does look pretty good for nearly 4 yrs old and 77k miles.
Its really silly I know but I wanted her to be at her best as she's going in for a 2 day detailing tomorrow:approve:
Paintwork correction and removal of swirl marks etc.....tbh they're not overly bad but really annoy me every time I clean her. So, 2 days from now hopefully she'll be in top notch shape.
If the detailing guys do a write up etc of course I'll post it up.

Thanks again

Nice car Jim, Nice car. I wish I had the time to get down and do mine - gave it a wash yesterday but managed to miss a bit - then today after work looked at it and I may as well not have bothered as its back to matt dusty again. Urgh. bloody dirty roads !

Well spent some time getting to know Mr Simoize the traditional wax then followed that on with a sealant. Firsr of gave it a darn good wash and got busy with the toothbrush on the alloys. Looking pretty good but I know I could do better as the paint work is indeed a mass of swirls and small blemishes. Im going to get a load of pictures sometime of the interior and such but well that needs to be cleaned now aswell. Carpets are minging lol.

Hey Jim, I know its a while since you posted these pics, but can you tell me where you got the LED's and how have you got the wired in?

Hi there tdg, I got my LED's from Ebay and they were around £46 iirc.....I think the seller was "Alltronix" iirc.
They were pretty good and really lifted the car but I found I had a few condensation issues and have since removed them......For your info the replacement fod light surrounds were around £9.00 for BOTH from the dealer, so very easy and cheap to do!

They were just wired directly wired into an igntion feed so "ALWAYS" on.......

Its deffo sumthin I want to redo as long as I don't get the condensation issue again!

Hope it helps

Jim
