Airbag warning light

Hi, I was cleaning round the steering wheel of my Golf mk 4 (just wiping nothing vigorous). Moments later when I turned the ignition on the airbag warning light came on with a beep and now comes on each time I turn the ignition on. I'm confident the airbag is fine just that I disturbed on of the sensors.

Does anyone know how to reset or turn this off?

you will need vagcom to re-set, might just be a loose connection under the seat.
Scan with vagcom to find out which bag is causing the light.
