Clutch pedal problem

Hi, This has 131k, there is one problem that i have noticed, and that is the clutch pedal occasionaly sticks half way down, but still works ok, and then springs back up. The guy i bought it off claims that he has replaced the master cylinder.

Now according to the paperwork that i have from Citygate VW in london, it had a complete clutch kit and flywheel at 110000 miles on the 16/04/09

can anyone give any ideas on this?
