Can anyone list the pre DPF engines?

Hi all,

Looking to replace my 08 Jetta for a newer version but don't want anything with DPF. I guess I am looking at an early 2009 engine. Any ideas which engines were pre dpf in 2009. Perhaps they all were but I guess some of the 1.9s continued without dfp for a while. Help anyone.

I think your right, only non dpf engines are the 1.9 engines. I have a 2008 2 litre 170bhp tdi sport which has a dpf. I was originally looking at a 2008 140bhp version and they all had a filter fitted.

my 58 plate 2.0 tdi 140 Sport has not got a DPF but is available as an option if required by customers, i think all standard 170 bhp models have the DPF fitted.
