HELP.do i need new fuel pump A6 Allroad?

hi everyone,recently bought an audi allroad 2.5tdi quattro year 2000 and its broken down on me. Chap came with diagnostics and it came up with fuel starvation. on checking it seems that the pump is working but fuel will not pull through.just air bubbles coming through fuel pipe when suction put on. Has anyone any ideas on the problem,perhaps although fuel pump working its not giving enuf psi to pull fuel or could it be something else? also can anyone recommend cheap supplier for a new pump.so sad as love my new car. cheers for any advice.karen :confused:

Try your filters/lines for blockages ,then try the A6 section instead of new members introduction section ,there are a lot of people looking at model specific sections,try it
