Hi All

Great forum with some useful information.

I have just taken purchase of a Sept 06 passat estate 2.0T FSI (200ps) with a
few bells and whistles. My previous car was a passat estate GL from 1991 which I had for 8 years - it was
a great car and never let me down.

I am like a schoolboy at the moment fiddling with the sat nav and all the buttons - but there
is one button which I cannot find what it does, I have gone through the manual, but can't find
it and hope you good folks would help.

It is in the door pillar on the drivers side.here's a pic

Please tell me it's a seat ejector button :D

Regards

Derek

Looks like the button to turn on/off the interior ultrasonic sensors.

Cheers guys

I took a trip to Norwich today with the family and left the dog in the car, left in their and locked the car within 30 seconds the alarm went off.

I knew it was the movement sensors but told the wife that we couldn't leave the dog in the car as she would always set the alarm off - now I know what that button does we can happily leave her in the car.

Thanks again for the help

Derek

Is she a good guard dog? ;) Don't want any wandering hands going in through open windows (to keep dog cool).

You'll have to train her to lay low then jump out and sink her fangs in. :D

The button is really so that the vehicle can be locked whilst being recovered without motion sensors being activated.
