First off, I currently have an 04 Passat 1.8T Sport 20V, 62k miles. BUT ! It's been a darn nightmare of a car , had it 4 weeks and have told the dealer where to put it !
List of faults :zx11:
1- overheating, new water pump, temp sender & thermostat Fitted.
2- rear brakes binding, have been cleaned up and are better now, but not 100%
3- 2nd gear hard to find, occasionally jumps out ! New gear oil, no better !
4- wipers gone out of synch, passenger footwell full of water and overheating AGAIN ! All happened in 2 days on a trip to lincoln.
I think this is what used to be refered to as a "friday Afternoon job"
After 5 years solely owning Alfas, I thought these were reliable ! Engine is damn sweet thou, I bought it to tweak !

After a long test drive, am swaping it for an Octavia VRS 03 in black magic, 52k miles, all usuals plus parking sensors & cruise (so ready for a re-map;) ) Woof Woof !
Any tips on stiffening the chasis up would be appreciated !
