Fixed prices for Servicing, MOT and repairs :D

Hi spud72, thanks for that. Looking deeper into the VW offers, they seem quite good prices. I've been using a VAG specialist for quite a few years, but as my Passat will be coming up to 10 yrs next year, I think I'll give the main dealer a go later this year.

just had aircon service from main dealer 54 passat estate
£50 also gives 2year warranty on gas etc
well worth checking out with local dealer

These sound quite good deals compared to the previous charges.
However it would appear some dealers are either slow in getting in on the act or are not particpating in these fixed pricings .Today I was quoted £438 from one dealer ,about 6 miles away, for a cambelt + waterpump change for a MK5 golf TDI . The fixed offer on the VW website is only £399. When I checked the listing for the local participating dealers, the one who quoted £438 was not on the list.

sounds to me you would be better off with local vag specialist as some vw dealers are not in the scheme it seems

I rang round 3 local dealers, all 3 gave different prices for the same job. Even so the cheapest was alot better than my so called local specialist :confused:

I've been using a specialist too and they're more expensive?!!

It's a shame not all dealers are taking part, but I guess the majority are otherwise they wouldn't shout about it??

I might give them a shot - my local dealer's on the list - so may be worth a go?

Might just be worth a go Spud as the last dealer I phoned said they would price match :)
