Amazing pictures and any idea that this was good for the environment is clearly rubbish. Noticed an old Morris Minor - that could certainly have been restored.
I read somewhere that it was possible to "rescue" a car from the scrappage scheme if it was a classic. Is that right?

The phrase "one born every minute" comes to mind, there's a lot of cars there worth 3-4k easily, I can see an A6, and loads of 4x4s that are worth that.
crazy :boggled:

Not only that, I am sure some of those cars are less than 10 years old, either that or only just ten. Who is the bloke that looks like he has his pants down taking a dump on the bonnet of that X308?

I would never abuse a Jaguar as they are fine automobiles, I was ferried around in a 1962 Mk10 as a baby, plus I have far better dress sense than that and I am infinitely better looking. :approve:

If you take a read of the link theres a bit more info on the location and stuff...
Apparently there are more of these sites around the UK.
In regards to some of the cars over 2k in value, i guess you have to remember some people thought it was an easier option that selling private, plus a lot of dealers did additional deals, like take the car as scrapage and then the dealer would knock for example £2k off the new car price to secure a deal..
Theres loads of good cars which went...... I mate of mine saw a 1998 Golf 1.9TDI with 65k on it get traded in under the scheme as the car was not worth much more than £2k,
Its a shame as there's been some good cars lost....
