We have a problem with my wife's 2009 Golf Plus.
Above 10-15 mph the anti hijack system locks the doors as normal. But when the speed drops below 10-15 mph, for example when stopping at a junction, and then accelerates again the locking system is activated again. It sounds as though it is locking again rather than unlocking though it it is impossible to be sure when on the move. If it is locking again, then did it unlock without us knowing?
The problem is intermittent. We have had it in to the dealership who spent 'all day' checking the diagnostics. They say they can find no problem and the only advice they could offer was to switch off the system.
This is no good to us, as the whole purpose of the system is to protect the driver when stopping for example at traffic lights.
Has anyone else had this problem and found a solution? Thanks.
