Hi All,

I have a Sharan 1.9TDI year 2002 and am having some issues with startin.

It almost starts but then cuts out, however, I can jump start it and it is fine as long as its not facing up hill, I can also leave it in 1st gear, turn the key to start it and apply the clutch as soon as it starts, this is the only way that I can start it.

I checked codes with VAGCOM and it shows up 5 codes as listed below.

16955-Brake Switch (F) Implausible Signal
P0571-35-10 Intermittent

16706-Shareware Version
P0322-35-00 - Intermittent

17564- Shareware Version
P1156-35-10

17978-Engine Start Blocked By Immobiliser
P1570-35-00

18072-Shareware Version
P1644-35-10

Could anyone help me out with this? I understand that it is an issue with the immobiliser but if that is the case how can I jump start it and its ok to go?

Many thanks in advance.

I would fit a new brake pedal switch before worrying about the immobiliser.

Meaning what? the brake pedal switch is causing the immobiliser issue?

Any better suggestions
