Hello, I recently bought an A4 and sadly I dont have a garage. I'm planning to buy an outside cover but don't know any good ones. Anyone willing to enlighten me? I'm considering either a custom made stormshield cover from Audi (http://www.audi-collection.com/itemdy00.asp?T1=ZAW400114&SKW=AUA4CF&Cat=car&SubLevel=12&lcat=) (click for link) or some retail 4 - 5 layers from ebay, such as this (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Audi-A4-S4-Sedan-2006-2007-2008-2009-2010-Car-cover-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem2c551fd946QQitemZ19040 6711622QQptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccesso ries). Any help please? Thanks, George.

However good the cover is, unless your car is spotless you'll be sliding that cover over the dirt. That dirt will then get in the cover and then you'll repeatedly scratch your car.

I'm afraid I'm really not a fan of them.

I do actually use one on my motorbike but the lack of painted metal panels makes it acceptable for me. I would prefer a non-contact one but I don't have the space.

Your post has put me to some thoughts. Indeed, car will most probably get dusty and putting on and pulling off the cover might scratch the car...
Any suggestion how I could protect my exterior / interior of the car without having a garage? Sun here is quite strong.

Would waxing the car protect the paint from the sun?

How about using some extra shades on windows or even putting some sheets on seats while it's parked under the sun to protect the leather? Any suggestions for protecting the interior?

Thanks.

Wax is great for protecting the car.

For the insides I've not know thesun to be an issue but if it is then consider either tints or the pop in sunshades that fit perfectly.

p.s. Is Asda that sunny?

Hi, I spent 4 years living near Larnaca so know what you mean about sun damage.

Most locals just threw up reed canopies rigged to basic metalwork or even lower tech using towels on the wheels and dash.

If your off street parking and looking for something a little more modern have a look here for a Pahos supplier (residential near bottom of page)

I'm afraid a carport is not a solution for me as Im forced to park outside my flat, thus no room for a custom made garage...

What do you think about this to protect interior? (http://www.car-truck-accessories.com/california_pop_top.asp)

Will this wax protect the car from the sun in summer? (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Poorboys-Nattys-Paste-Wax-Blue-Carnauba-Dark-Colours-/400009697043?cmd=ViewItem&pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item5d226f9713)
