Cruise doesn't work??

I recently purchased a 2004 Jetta wagon Turbo. I'm very happy with it overall but the cruise won't set, nor does it seem to turn on. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Most likely causes are;

1, Faulty brake light switch
2, Faulty clutch pedal switch
3, Fuse.

Thanks, I'll start with the fuse as its probably the easiest.

The more I read about this, the more it sounds like a very common problem. My brake lights work fine so its not the light switch though I know there is another switch to disable the cruise. Can anyone link directions on how to replace or check this?

I also checked the fuses and they are fine. Thanks for the help.
